Inforuptcy released its October 2022 business bankruptcy creditor statistics. October business bankruptcy creditors totaled 10,424 across secured and unsecured creditors for total claims of $19.4 billion, an increase of 3.8% from September.
LOS ANGELES – NOVEMBER 2, 2022 – Inforuptcy, a global technology services leader in bankruptcy information, released its October 2022 business bankruptcy creditor statistics. There were 1,054 secured creditors (Schedule D), an increase of 12.0% from 941 in September. Secured creditors totaled $3.9 billion, an increase of 18.9% from $3.3 billion in September. The median for secured creditors was $0.08 million, a decrease of 33.9% from $0.12 million in September. There were 9,370 unsecured creditors (Schedule E/F), an increase of 3.0% from 9,100 in September. Unsecured creditors totaled $15.5 billion, an increase of 1,240.8% from $1.2 billion in September. The median for unsecured creditors was $5,012.45, an increase of 66.9% from $3,004.08 in September.
