There are three Chapter 13 trustees in the Chicago area that you are likely going to see.  There are two in Cook County; Marilyn Marshall is one person’s name who runs that office.  The other one is Tom Vaughan.  Anybody who files in Cook County, it’s a crapshoot.  You don’t know who you are going to get.  It’s going to be one of the two. 
The other trustee does all of the collar counties around Cook.  His name is Glenn Stearns.  He does Lake, DuPage, Will, McHenry; anything in this area that is outside of Cook is inside his jurisdiction.  Glenn Stearns.  He is a straight shooter and a very decent man.

The reason why I mentioned this is two of those trustees use a bank in Memphis, Tennessee.  That bank actually knows how to do Chapter 13s and how to administer those checks.  So two of those trustees are actually collecting that first payment and we are mailing it to Memphis, Tennessee.  The other one is in Chicago. 

But we don’t hang onto that first payment.  The minute that case is filed and we know which trustee it is and what the case number is, we write the case number on it and we mail it to that trustee.  Thus, there should always be one plan payment in the till by the time our client goes to the 341 meeting of creditors.
