Store Closing Sale of Clothing Company

Sale of commencing going out of business sales (collectively, the “Store Closing Sale”) of J & M Sales Inc., et al., company operate 269 retail store locations identified in Exhibit 1 on the attached PDF (each individually a “Store,” and collectively the “Stores”) by means of a “store closing,” “sale on everything,” “going out of business,” “everything must go,” or similar sale (the “Sale”).

The Sale assets also include substantially all of the seller's remaining assets, including, without limitation (i) inventory (“Merchandise”), (ii) furniture, fixtures and equipment (“Owned FF&E”), (iii) intellectual property, (iv) accounts receivable and cash on hand in the stores or other closing locations, and (v) real property leases (each, an “Asset Class” and collectively, the “Assets”),

The company are leading discount retailers offering brand-name clothing for men, women, boys, girls, juniors, infants and toddlers along with lingerie, shoes, toys and household items. The company business was started in 1962 in a single location in downtown Los Angeles. Transfer of ownership and leadership from the founder to his son, Michael Fallas, was completed in 2002. The Debtors have been family owned and operated for 56 years and now operate 344 stores in 22 states and Puerto Rico and employ over 9,800 people.
