The Academy Awards are this weekend, but restructuring professionals have already picked a winner: “Life of Pi.”

The pros chose a quote from the movie—“Above all, don’t lose hope”—as the top sentiment for their profession in 2013, according to Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP’s annual restructuring survey.

The tale of a boy marooned at sea with a live tiger is up for Best Picture and other awards at this Sunday’s Oscars, as are several other movies that figured into Weil’s survey.

U.S. investors are pushing to go to trial by the fall over how to divide Nortel Networks Corp.’s $7.3 billion pile of money, but officials looking out for Canadian and European creditors say the international cash clash could take much longer to sort out.
