Seller of Recalled Candle Fuel Burns in Chapter 11

A home-décor distributor that made sold bottled burnable candle fuel has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, facing dozens of lawsuits by burn victims.

Georgia-based Napa Home & Garden Inc. sold a clear, slow-burning gel used to fill up decorative fire pots—a summertime staple for outdoor patios and decks—that has been blamed for sending dozens of people to the hospital after they were splattered with flaming gel.

Former Ford-Owned Electric-Car Maker Drives Into Bankruptcy

Creditors have pulled the plug on Norway electric-car maker Think Global AS.

Think, which was once property of Ford Motor Co., filed for a form of bankruptcy in its home country and will have a court-appointed trustee take over management of the company, a Think spokeswoman confirmed.

“Think filed for bankruptcy after failing to attract adequate capital to continue funding operations,” U.S.-based spokeswoman Debra Salem said in a statement Thursday.
