Atlanta Businessman William Johnson’s Company Enters Bankruptcy

Grounded from his corporate jet and facing accusations fraud, an entity controlled by Atlanta businessman William B. Johnson filed for bankruptcy protection Friday.

Once the owner of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel chain, Johnson filed a Chapter 11 petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del., on behalf of a company that’s on the hook for a $15 million loan that the well-known entrepreneur used to buy a corporate jet.
