A. Burton Shuford is the duly appointed and acting Chapter 7 trustee for the referenced debtor. She filed her voluntary petition with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina on March 13, 2015. Included among the assets listed in her Schedule B filed with her petition was a judgment giving the debtor a distributive award against her former husband, William D. Schwartz, in the sum of $96,362.56. The judgment was entered on August 20, 2012. The Debtor indicated in her Schedule B that no payment had been made on this judgment. It should be noted that in North Carolina judgments bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum. A copy of the judgment is attached for your review.
