The Company's primary business is the development and commercialization of a ground-breaking proprietary technology designed to generate a renewable crude oil from non-food cellulosic biomass (e.g., trees, grasses, etc.), which can be refined into gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuels. The fuels produced by the compnay's highly specialized process are true hydrocarbon fuels that are molecularly consistent with their traditional petroleum-based counterparts. KiOR, Inc maintains corporate offices, research and development facilities and a test-scale demonstration facility in Pasadena, Texas.
