Sports Authority Enters Bankruptcy, Could Shut Down Without Buyer

Sporting-goods retailer Sports Authority Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday and could shut down if it doesn’t find a buyer in a few weeks, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Texas-based oilfield servicer GreenHunter Resources Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection and plans to sell its assets. WSJ has the Daily Bankruptcy Review article here.

Lynn Tilton-controlled ambulance company TransCare Corp. is blaming Well Fargo Bank for its recent collapse, DBR reports via WSJ.

Peabody Energy Corp.’s lenders are concerned as to why the company isn’t restructuring in bankruptcy, DBR reports.

Also according to DBR, concert producer SFX Entertainment Inc. plans to auction its Beatport and Fame House assets.
