Relativity Media LLC, which says it hopes to exit bankruptcy protection as soon as Friday, has unveiled fresh details about its upcoming films.

Among the films Relativity executives have high hopes for are “Masterminds,” a heist comedy starring Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig, and submarine thriller “Hunter Killer” with Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman.

The Hollywood studio’s latest release schedule shows it hopes to debut as many as six films this year. Though production of the six films is complete, Relativity expects to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to market and distribute the titles, according to court papers filed in Manhattan Saturday. In total, Relativity has plans to release as many as 22 films over the next three years, which it hopes will bring in as much as $2 billion.

Relativity announced Saturday that it has secured more than $100 million in new investments to help bankroll the films and has completed a deal with producer Dana Brunetti, who will become president of Relativity Studios.

But the deals didn’t include a high-publicized arrangement announced earlier this year that would have given actor Kevin Spacey significant creative control of the studio as its chairman. In a letter filed with the bankruptcy court Saturday, Mr. Spacey said he now has a “much deeper understanding of the specifics” and that “I neither have the time nor the wherewithal to take on” the role.

Before it starts making movies again, however, Relativity must win permission from Judge Michael Wiles to formally exit chapter 11.
