David Tepper's Appaloosa Management LP said suspicions it engaged in insider trading in Washington Mutual Inc.'s bankruptcy case are "demonstrably false and defamatory," Borders Group Inc. is preparing for a possible bankruptcy-protection filing as soon as the middle of this month and the New York Mets hope to complete the sale of up to a 25% stake by the end of June.
