Justine J. Block has joined law firm Hahn & Hessen as special counsel. Ms. Block has experience in buying and selling distressed assets, and she represents commercial banks, investment banks and hedge funds. She has worked on bankruptcy cases including GT Advanced Technologies and Lehman Brothers.  Most recently, Ms. Block worked at the corporate restructuring and bankruptcy group at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel.

Alicia Den Beste has been promoted to vice president of client services and business development at Epiq’s chapter 7 bankruptcy solutions and fiduciary services group. In her new role, she will have more leadership in the trustee services sector of the company. Ms. Den Best is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the Turnaround Management Association and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.

H. Jason Gold has been named chair of the bankruptcy and financial restructuring group at law firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. Mr. Gold, a partner in the Washington, D.C., office, works on complex liquidations and fraud investigations. He has served as a bankruptcy trustee and also has represented debtors and creditors in chapter 11 cases. Mr. Gold was chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Telecommunications & Technology Committee from 2006 to 2010.
