H. Stephen Castro has joined law firm Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Castro, who most recently worked with Kaye Scholer, represents lenders, private-equity firms and others in distressed investing and restructuring situations. He has worked in industries including energy, mining and transportation.
Michael T.Conway and Stephen I. Siller have joined the newly opened New York City office of law firm Shipman & Goodwin. The new office aims to grow the firm’s bankruptcy, finance, litigation and tax work. Mr. Conway focuses on litigation on behalf of financial institutions and companies, and he has represented clients in chapter 11 reorganizations. He also is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Siller advises clients nationally and internationally in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and other areas. The pair formerly worked for LeClairRyan.
Matthew Roose was elected partner in the bankruptcy and restructuring group at law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. Mr. Roose has worked with debtors, creditors committees, equity committees and lenders in chapter 11 cases as well as in restructurings out of court. He earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
