Coming and Going Concerns

Brian K. Gart has joined the Gordian Group as managing director and general counsel. Mr. Gart, who has worked with boards of directors for companies in distressed financial situations, most recently was a partner with law firm Berger Singerman. He also has experience working with bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ committees and plan funders. Mr. Gart is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Bankruptcy Bar Association in South Florida.

Duston K. McFaul has joined law firm Sidley Austin as a partner with the corporate reorganization and bankruptcy group. Mr. McFaul, who will also work with the energy practice at the firm, has advised clients in restructurings, workouts and other proceedings. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Pro Bono Committee and the Bankruptcy Section and Professionalism Committee.

Peter Schellbach has joined investment bank Imperial Capital as managing director and senior credit trader. Mr. Schellbach, who most recently worked with broker-dealer Ingalls and Snyder, will work on distressed and special situation trading. He has experience with distressed-debt trading and credit sales.
