Christopher Celentino has become a managing partner at the San Diego office of Ballard Spahr. Mr. Celentino, a bankruptcy and transactional finance partner at the law firm, has experience in chapter 7, chapter 11 and chapter 13 bankruptcies. He also has worked on areas including creditors’ rights, workouts and fiduciary services litigation and has represented lenders and other parties.

Andrew C. Curtis has joined private equity firm Z Capital as a managing director and member of the investment group. Mr. Curtis, who most recently worked with Mercer Parker LP, has experience in leveraged credit and investments. He also has advised corporations and creditors in chapter 11 cases as well as out-of-court restructurings.

Cecily Dumas has joined the insolvency and restructuring group at law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pttman. Ms. Dumas has represented bankruptcy trustees and other parties and has worked in commercial transactions in addition to bankruptcy cases. She has been a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Ms. Dumas previously had her own law firm.

Palmer Square Capital Management has added a high yield and distressed municipal strategies team. Garey M. Fuqua and Sandra T. Matthews, who previously worked at Spring Mountain Capital, will lead the group. Mr. Fuqua will serve as managing director and chief investment officer, and Ms. Matthews will serve as executive director and research analyst.
