Region's bankruptcy filings continue to decline

ALBANY — Bankruptcy filings in U.S. District Court in Albany declined for the third year in a row last year. Data compiled by the federal bankruptcy system shows that there were 3,444 bankruptcy cases filed in Albany last year compared to 4,135 in 2011.
