Business bankruptcy filings drop again in 2Q

Nationally, there were 9,390 commercial bankruptcy filings during the second quarter, compared to 11,954 a year ago. For the first half of 2014, there were 18,492 business filings, down 22 percent from 23,569 during the comparable six months in 2013.
