Wauconda Bankruptcy Attorney Provides Great Customer Service

09/22/11

One of the things that I do as a bankruptcy attorney is I meet with everyone individually.  In many law firms, the bankruptcy attorney never actually meets with the client.  In some firms, a paralegal or assistant or a secretary will assist the debtor in filling out the forms and sending them the forms, and then at some point an attorney will show up at the meeting of creditors, introduce themselves to the debtor and sit with them at their meeting.

This is not the way that I like to do business because it doesn’t give compassionate care to the debtor.  It doesn’t leave the debtor with a good feeling that an attorney is working for them, an attorney is on their side, and an attorney is representing them and has their best interests at heart.  What I’m referring to prior to this are some firms that are known as bankruptcy mills.  A bankruptcy mill is just a law firm that churns cases through a system, and like a wheel, it just goes round and round and spits the client out at the end of the case, hopefully with a discharge.

That’s not the way I like to do business.  As a bankruptcy attorney who’s been practicing for nearly 20 years, I like to give people personal, one on one service.  One of the reasons that I’ve become successful over the last 20 years is by providing one on one service, by being compassionate, by going over the top in terms of customer service, because I know there’s a lot of law firms out there that do not provide any sort of customer service whatsoever.
