You, as the debtor, this is likely your first case and hopefully the only case that you’re going to have to file for bankruptcy in your lifetime.  For the attorney, probably hundreds of cases per year are handled through his office.  You want to make sure that your case is being treated with the same respect as every other case, that you’re given personal attention, that your questions are being answered, that the office is accessible to you and that you feel comfortable with the person that you’re going to hire to handle your case. 

As I mentioned at the outset, it is true that many cases can go through, if they’re simple Chapter 7 cases, without a wonderful attorney working for you.  However, the experience will not be the same as if you had a good, experienced, kind, friendly, compassionate bankruptcy attorney assisting you every step of the way.
