The Next Step Prior To Filing For Park Forest Bankruptcy Attorney
So we have everything ready to go. Client has paid in full, they’ve signed their petition, they’ve taking the credit counseling class, they’ve given us the last year of taxes in Chapter 7, and we have their last 60 days of paycheck stubs, and then we file the case. Once we have everything, we have a “prepare to file” department. This department will look through the file. Any changes the client has made on the petition, for example, if information is incorrect or they need to add a bill on, we add this for the client at this moment. We also make sure everything is current and up-to-date. And once we’re ready with that, once the prep file is over, we then get ready to file the case. Before filing, we just look through it one more time, just to make sure that everything is still up-to-date. We need to make sure that we still have the most recent paycheck stubs and that there are no issues with the client having significant assets.
We then go on to file the case online. Now actually years ago, they had to file the case by going downtown to court. Those days are over. Now we can file the case with the click of the button. The court dates are picked by the computer.
