Dowdell sentenced Michael Fletcher, 64, to three years probation for making a false statement during his bankruptcy case in the Northern District of Oklahoma.  According to a criminal information and plea agreement, Fletcher denied owning any interest in real property in his bankruptcy case.  While testifying in an adversary proceeding he stated that his parents owned a house on a certain parcel of real estate in Oklahoma and that a $235,000 down payment for the purchase was funded by a loan from his daughters to his father. In pleading guilty Fletcher admitted that he was the source of the funds used for the down payment, and that he lied during his bankruptcy court testimony when he denied that fact.
