Roth Steel Corp. closed the scrapyard in February 2014 and filed bankruptcy nine weeks later. American Iron & Metal Co. bought the 23-acre property for $687,500 in a bankruptcy sale and planned to use it as a "pick-and-pull" auto parts scrap yard.
