Kerner Optical Sees End of Days

Kerner Optical LLC, a California special-effects company once controlled by director George Lucas, has shut its lights for good after seven months in bankruptcy.

The Marin Independent Journal reported that Kerner’s demise partially stemmed from a financial dispute between managing partner Eric Edmeades, who owns two-thirds of the company, and an investor group that owns the other third.
