Flowers Foods Inc. may have made a $390 million grab for parts of Hostess Brands Inc.’s bread business on Friday, but the two bakery companies haven’t always been BFFs.
In fact, Flowers and Hostess have clashed over one of the very brands they’re seeking to fold into the proposed transaction: Nature’s Pride bread.
