Chapter 7 Discharge Of Attorney Fee Sanctions From Divorce Proceeding

One of my Chapter 7 bankruptcy clients wants to discharge a judgment in favor of his former wife’s attorney. A family law judge issued a judgment for sanctions against my client  for frivolous litigation during a dispute over enforcement of a property settlement. The judgment was issued in favor of the ex-wife’s attorney for his attorney fees defending my clients continued and baseless challenges to the ex-wife’s enforcement of the property settlement.

S.D.N.Y. 2010), a bankruptcy court strictly construed the change-in-control provisions of a pre-petition credit agreement and refused to confirm an unsecured creditors' committee's plan of reorganization, which had been premised on the reinstatement of the debtors' accelerated secured debt under Section 1124(2) of the Bankruptcy Code.

HMRC recently issued statistics for the Business Payment Support Service for the three months ended March 2011, their headlines, as you would expect, are the level of support they have provided to date and the reducing level of applications received since the scheme was introduced at the end of 2008.
