There’s nothing like a little humor to lighten up a conference about bankruptcy.

Last week’s American Bankruptcy Institute conference—the country’s largest gathering of restructuring professionals—kept it goofy by challenging attendees to a Twitter contest.

The rules? Post creative phrases that incorporate two words that are spoken frequently within the industry: cramdown and discharge. (Yes, we thought the same thing. The contest rules noted that entries should be “tasteful.”)

Energy Future Holdings Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Tuesday, after reaching a deal with creditors on the terms of a debt-for-equity swap to restructure the private-equity backed utility’s debt load of more than $49 billion.
