At the hearing held on June 2, 2026, for The Galinn Fund LLCs Motion for Entry of Order Deeming Proofs of Claim Timely Filed (the Motion), filed at ECF No. 169, Counsel for Galinn Fund LLC appeared without local counsel and without admission pro hac vice. Moreover, counsel who appeared for the hearing, as well as the other attorneys listed on the caption to the Motion never requested pro hac vice admission. This case is six-months-old. Local counsel, the attorneys who appeared in court, and those whose names are on the caption of the Motion are all in violation of L. Civ. R. 101.1(c), and D.N.J. LBR 9010-1. That is unacceptable. Each out-of-state attorney must follow L. Civ. R. 101.1(c), and D.N.J. LBR 9010-1. Furthermore, in response to a recent communication from the Court regarding a different case, local counsel responded and said "Debtor's local counsel, will appear at all future hearings in this case. . ." While local counsel's response was limited to that subject case, the Court believed and expected local counsel to adhere to the local rules in all cases. Consequently, local counsel must file a letter by 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026, explaining why he failed to comply with the local rules. Additionally, all out-of-state counsel, from the firm of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, who have appeared in this case, whether by actual appearance, or on any pleading filed in the case shall file letters explaining their failure to abide by the local rules. They shall also seek pro hac vice admission within the next 3 days and pay the appropriate fees. All subject attorneys are on notice that the Court may schedule a hearing as to why sanctions should not be imposed. So Ordered. (ntp)
